Global citizen I Explorer I Mother and Friend. Born in Germany to parents of 2 different nationalities, I developed an interest in foreign places and different cultures at a young age. In 2000, I settled in London.  Its people from all over the world, the beautiful architecture - old and new - as well as the luscious green spaces and its rich culture scene got me intrigued.  I left my previous career and studied Art at several London art schools. Currently I am completing an MA at the Royal Academy of Arts, London/Maastricht University. In my art practice, I paint mostly intuitively. The pressures and chores of daily life created a desire to radiate energy, positivity and a spirit of adventure in my works.  Inspired by contrasts in life, I create energising colourful pieces 'interval-ed' with more subdued, monochrome works. Feeling energised for me is as important as moments of reflection, meditation, peace.  I work on a variety of surfaces such as canvas, hardwood panels, and screen prints on paper, using acrylics, oils, household paints, inks, collage and more.   My work is an attempt to inspire boldness as much as reflection and peace. A life in exciting intervals. Drawing on my experience as property developer and interior designer for a period of 15 years, I offer commissions of bespoke Art for large surfaces and empty walls.  I take stock of a client's space; what's there and what the artworks are meant to add to the look and feel of the home or commercial space.  Find out more ...  What drives me to paint?
